The Folia Ring is an original bespoke jewellery design by award-winning goldsmith Mark Lloyd. Named after the Latin word folia, meaning “leaves”, it features six sculpted, diamond-set leaves flowing along the shoulders towards a vivid 1.00ct oval orange sapphire.
Six round brilliant-cut diamonds provide delicate points of white sparkle, complementing the sapphire’s warm colour without distracting from the centre stone. Crafted in 950 platinum and weighing approximately 4.5 grams, the ring has a beautifully balanced appearance and a luxurious feel.

The Folia Ring is an original Mark Lloyd design combining the vivid colour of an orange sapphire with elegant, nature-inspired detail. Its name is derived from folia, the Latin word for “leaves”, reflected in the six sculpted leaf forms that flow along its diamond-set shoulders.
At the centre of the ring is a 1.00ct oval-cut orange sapphire. Its warm, distinctive colour offers an individual alternative to the traditional blue sapphire, while the elongated oval shape creates an elegant appearance on the hand. Four polished claws hold the gemstone securely while allowing its colour to remain the focus of the design.
Three sculpted leaves extend along each shoulder, creating a graceful botanical pattern around the centre stone. Each leaf is set with a round brilliant-cut diamond, producing six delicate points of white sparkle. Their gently graduated arrangement draws the eye towards the sapphire and gives the ring its distinctive Folia character.
The ring is crafted in 950 platinum, a naturally white precious metal chosen for its strength, durability and understated luxury. Platinum provides a crisp contrast against the warmth of the orange sapphire while complementing the bright white diamonds. With a gross weight of approximately 4.5 grams, the ring feels reassuringly substantial without appearing heavy.
